The PM Sounds in Words series explores phonological awareness in a meaningful context, in a PM context. It enables children to become aware of the sounds made by many regular letter patterns that can be found in high frequency and interest words. The series enables children to hear the sounds, say the sounds, read the sounds and write the sounds.
To assist teachers in maximising the benefits of the series for their students, the provided PM Sounds in Words Teaching Notes gives a thorough explanation of the features of each of the three components in each PM Sounds in Words set: the Little Books, Big Books and IWB Software. Each set comprises of Activity Sheets and a Post-Assessment Recording Sheet. A Pre-Assessment Recording Sheet is also available for Set 1.
