PM Library Software Features

PM Library Software features highly focused activities offering a range of interactive
opportunities with the language and the meaning of the PM Story Books. Red to Green
level software can also be used on IWBs for modelled and shared reading.
Software is available for Red to Silver Levels.

Read the story: children can listen to a reading of the story while they read the text
and look at the illustrations on screen.

 

Choose the word: children select the correct word to complete the sentence.

 

Word ordering: select the next word from the list to construct a sentence.

 

Writing: children can write the story in their own words.

 

Rhyming exercise: children select the correct word to complete the sentence.

 

Slide: children spell the word spoken by the computer. Words are chosen
from the vocabulary of the stories.

 

 

Treasure: a favourite variation on the traditional Hangman game. It uses
words from the PM stories.

 

Letter recognition game: upper and lower case letters are presented,
with and without spoken cues.

 

Comprehension exercise: children select the correct sentence ending.

 

Comprehension exercise: children have to place the sentences, in correct sequence.
