The Nelson Teaching Interactives: Maths resources provide teachers with developmentally appropriate, interactive teaching objects across the major mathematical strands - Number, Space, Measurement and Chance and Data. Each year level CD comprises a range of objects designed to illustrate a variety of mathematical concepts within the primary classroom, including

Each teaching object acts as a launch pad around focused classroom discussions which can be built on. Linked teaching notes provide teachers with ideas for how to use each object and suggestions for the integration of each object into daily maths lessons to maximise student learning.
Nelson Teaching Interactives: Literacy
The new Nelson Teaching Interactives: Literacy CD-ROM resources provide teachers with interactive teaching objects for the three strands of English in the forthcoming national curriculum.
The teaching objects are designed for teaching language, literature and literacy. There is also a base set of general purpose objects. The objects can be used on their own for modelling a concept or teaching point, or as support with other literacy materials.
Each CD-ROM includes developmentally appropriate teaching objects, grouped as follows:
- Base set - for teaching how to think about and prepare for reading, writing and oral language
- Language - for teaching elements of the English language
- Literature - for teaching how to analyse, appreciate, respond to, and create literature
- Literacy - for teaching how to use the English language.
